Daily Update

I've concentrated quite a bit on health care lately so I thought I'd take a look at a few others things today...

Wrote about this when it was originally introduced. HR 3068 is entitled "TARP for Main Street" and it would allow the use of dividends paid by those entities receiving TARP funds to pay for a variety of housing costs. This government has gotten so out of control that it's frightening.
TARP Funds to Stop Building Foreclosures
I honestly don't comprehend how the citizens of the fringe states (northern and Pacific-bordering) continue to elect people like Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA). He's the author of this bill and he's a radical leftist. He wants to control everything and everybody. I know he must reflect the will of his constituents (well, that would be a first!!) but his constituents must be a bunch of idiots. I can't understand how any American would so willing turn over every aspect of their lives to the government and to people who want to take away everything our founding fathers fought for. But people who continue to re-elect Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer (NY), Dick Durbin (IL), Maxine Waters (CA).....I could go on and on .....are supporting this type of total control.

Speaking of radicals....

Sen. Debbie Stabenow's Incredible Idiotic Statement
Don't forget about the Cap and Tax bill. It still looms in the halls of the Senate and it could rear it's ugly head this fall when no one is looking. Gov. George Allen: Climate Bill Will Hurt U.S.

I would love to be able to explain (successfully) to one hard-core Democrat voter that the Democrats are not who people think they are. They are not supporters of the constitution. Liberal Supreme Court Justices have already reduced our 5th amendment property rights (Kelo vs. New London, CT) and Democrats are constantly trying to eliminate our 2nd amendment rights. They're attempting to restrict our 1st amendment rights in many ways including by constantly accusing us of racism if we say ANYTHING against this administration in an attempt to get us to retreat in our beliefs. Here's just one more example: The Fairness Doctrine is Dead....Not So Fast...

On that same note....what do you think this article is all about??: Officials see rise in militia groups across US

This is an example of a Republican who should be kicked out of office. I am fed up with so-called Republicans who criticize Republicans! No, Ms. Murkowski, there are no 'death panels in HR 3200 but the bill is loaded with government panel after government panel who WILL decide who gets health care, how much health care and who will not. Call it what you may and I will call it anything I choose to! There will be government employees deciding if Grandma gets her chemo treatment because of her age. To me, that is a DEATH PANEL!! I do not want any government official - especially those like the extremists who advise President Obama on health care policy - making any decisions for my family. So, keep your mouth shut, Ms. Murkowski.

Social Security Crisis Looms ... The government is spending money at an unbelievable rate but there has not been one discussion about Social Security. Is that going to come up next year? Can you imagine the amount of taxes that are going to be needed on top of the taxes that are already guaranteed - such as the ones to pay for TARP, Stimulus, health care...??

Final thought...

One question I'd like Bart Gordon and Jim Cooper to answer at their town hall meetings: What percentage of the calls, emails and personal contacts with your office have been against the health care bill? Assuming that each answers honestly, I would followup by asking if they intend to vote the will of his constituents. Doubt we'd get an answer to that one because neither of these Reps vote the will of their middle Tennessee constituents.
