Daily Update
Congressional Update:
The Senate is still in session and only took two votes yesterday related to HR 2997: Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2010.
The fate of the idiotic "Cash for Clunkers" depends on the Senate. Read here.
Other things...
The White House continues to manipulate the press:
Bully boy Rahm puts screws on media execs
Sotomayer is going to be confirmed by the liberal Senate this week for a position on the nation's highest court. Wanna bet that she's going to be a liberal activist judge?? Here's an article in case you're interested. The NRA is urging Senators to vote against this judge. Here is their statement.
The Obama Administration is playing games with American citizens again. It is no co-incidence that two important members of his administration mentioned tax-hikes for all of us on the Sunday talk shows. He's trying to play the role of the 'good guy' but, have no doubt, he is preparing to put the screws to you. Two articles:
Softening up the Middle Class for the Coming Tax Hike
Obama Standing Firm on No Middle-Class Tax Increase
Blue State Blues
The Dems are dying to get the GITMO prisoners into U.S. courts. This is the first step.
GITMO Cases Referred to U.S. Prosecutors
Health Care...
Rep. Chuckie Schumer (D-NY) says that we're getting health care "no matter what"! Read more here. Keep in mind that when Chuckie refers to 'health care reform' he means socialized medicine. The Dems do NOT want free-market health care reform.
Beware the High Cost of Unintended Consequences
Don't Let Sleeping Blue Dogs Lie
Speaking of Blue Dogs....I've written 2 emails to Bart Gordon's office requesting info about any town hall meetings that he might hold during his recess. So far, no response. I've also signed up for Jim Cooper's email but have not received it either. I'm going to try to call these offices to see what I can find out.
Might want to read this one so you can see our future....A Right to Die
Well....on that cheery note.....
