The morning after...

You may be surprised to hear this but I didn't watch the speech. I have heard Obama blatantly LIE about what's in the bill (House Bill HR 3200) and, as a result, couldn't stand to watch more of the lies. As I always say... watch what he does rather than what he says. That way you'll know exactly what he REALLY wants.

I know that he spoke of a bi-partisan bill but did you know that the Republicans have been asking to meet with him regarding health care since APRIL but he has refused their request EVERY TIME?? Rep. Tom Price from Georgia stated this day before yesterday on Steve Gill's radio show and I also saw an article on it that appeared for a brief time on Drudge. Of course, the President accused the opposition of not providing any alternatives but THEY HAVE! Here is one of them: HR 3400 - Empowering Patients First Act As a matter of fact, Republicans have introduced approximately 800 bills and pieces of legislation about health care but almost all have been rejected by the Dems. Simple fact is that the President really doesn't care what the opposition thinks and the Dems want control of your life rather than a health debate on this subject! I also heard that the public option is still on the table (of course it is!!) and that he spoke very little about how to pay for this debacle. Several times he also seemed to accuse the opposition of lying. Well, THAT'S A LIE!! Read the House bill for yourself.

As Glenn Beck reported yesterday afternoon, the Senate voted on cloture to the nomination of Cass Sunstein as Regulatory Czar (here). This is not the actual up/down vote on the nomination but we CANNOT let this man into the administration. He is another dangerous, radical. Read Glenn's story here. One more... Both TN Senators voted against cloture.

The House passed a resolution yesterday (here) declaring tomorrow (September 11th) as a Day of Mourning. This is in opposition to the President who wants to change the meaning of 9/11 and declare it as a National Day of Service.
