Health Care Push Continues...
We all agree that something needs to be done to bring down the cost of health care. However, President Obama and Congress refuse to address tort reform. I guess they want to protect the profits of lawyers but they have no problem severely limiting the profits of doctors. (Hmmm.. which one is more important to you?) In addition, President Obama claims that he has gotten agreements from pharmaceutical companies and hospitals to save about $230 billion dollars over ten (?) years. Well, why not implement these cost savings without adopting a bill in which the government takes over health care? Why? .... Because it's not about health care ... It's about POWER and CONTROL of your life.
I noted late last week that Sen. Alexander had mentioned (on the Steve Gill radio show) that this health care bill would dramatically increase costs to states and would force TN to institute a HUGE ... as high as 10% ...state income tax to pay for it. There is fear that this is an attempt to stifle religious speech. In addition, this bill could protect pedophiles. This is the subtitle of the amendment:
"OFFENSES INVOLVING ACTUAL OR PERCEIVED RELIGION, NATIONAL ORIGIN, GENDER"Perceived? If someone "perceives" that they were the victim of a "hate crime", this makes is so?
